Pasta Dinners

The boys varsity lacrosse team parents have a long tradition of providing dinner for the players the night before each home game.  They serve pasta, salad, bread and drinks, and the boys really look forward to eating this meal together.  They arrive after practice and are usually gone within an hour,  We have 4 home games this year so if everyone signs up once, we will have all the slots covered. If you can fill in whenever needed, please let me know.  I will keep a separate list and call you as needed.  Most of the younger players try to get rides to dinner from the players that drive.  Parents pick their son up at the host’s house.  If you prefer, you may bring your son to the house yourself.

Again, we’d like each family to participate, and I thank you in advance for your help in continuing this Robinson tradition.  Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have.

Volunteer Needs

Host (1): Opens your home to the players for the dinner and makes "Shaw Pie". (Ice cream sandwiches with cool whip on top, sprinkled with heath bars, and chocolate drizzled on the top-I'll explain).  The players come directly after practice so you will need to have everything set up and ready.   You will provide heavy duty paper plates, napkins and plastic utensils.  You may need to heat pasta if cookers bring it over the night before. You may also need to heat  or keep bread warm.   Your son should call you when they are leaving school.

Pasta Cookers (3) Each of you will make 3 pounds of pasta.  This can be spaghetti (or another type of noodle) with meatballs or sausage, macaroni and cheese, chicken alfredo, lasagna, rigatoni, etc. Bring your pasta in a disposable aluminum pan.

Salad (1)

You will bring a big caesar salad (10 heads of cut romaine lettuce), croutons and parmesan cheese with 2 bottles of dressing on the side.  The hostess will dress the salad.

Bread (1)
You will provide 8-10 loaves of cut and buttered bread.  Wrap it in foil or put it back in the foil bag.  Bring it heated to the hostess, and she will keep it warm until the boys arrive.

Gatorade (2)

You will provide individual drinks of cold Gatorade.   Coach Curran does not want any type of soda to be served.

Water and Dessert (2)
You will bring a case of water and 2 dozen brownies or cookies.

The schedule is posted separately.  Thank you so much!
